Laboratory test
We conduct tests to validate the components: fabrics, buckles, straps, foam padding, zips, etc. For example, for a fabric: resistance to abrasion and tearing, colour-fastness in UV light, resistance to washing, waterproofing, etc. Then, a test is conducted on the finished product replicating the accelerated demands on the bag over a number of years to check the strength of the assemblies.Filled with weights it is placed on a mannequin that replicates thousands of fast walking movements.

10-year guarantee
The warranty covers any defects to the backpack, excluding those resulting from normal wear and improper use. This special 10-year warranty will only be granted upon presentation of the receipt and the product. If the product is covered by warranty, it will be repaired or exchanged, free of charge. This sales warranty does not affect the statutory rights applicable in your country/state.

User tests
Quechua has conducted tests to simulate the ageing of its backpacks. These tests are conducted on the components, seams and finished product. Quechua and Decathlon use the results to guarantee the bags tested for a period of 10 years, starting from the date of purchase indicated on the receipt.

Environmental measures
The product's environmental impact is calculated over its entire lifespan, using various indicators. An overall score from A to E is given to help you easily identify the most eco-friendly products by comparing products of the same type (T-shirts, trousers, backpacks etc.) Decathlon is committed to displaying the environmental information of its products.
